The 20th Century

Make your own choice- even a short record helps to remember.
Of course one could easily fill many books with the past century. This duty however shall be kept for the historians. For this project its interesting, how you have experienced the past century and what memories have remained:
- How have the big events of the century touched you?
- Which developments may be the most meaningful?
- Where do you see the ups and downs of the century?
- How would you judge the past era in its intirety?
Maybe there are some details or anecdotes which especially represent a moment of history.

You don´t have much time at the moment? No problem, there is no hurry. Certainly there will come an oppotunity within the year. Finally, a few lines maybe along with a picture of you are good enough. If there is more time more reflections are very welcome. In advance, you may well send some greetings to our visitors or express your support for this project. In case you have already published your thoughts we would be grateful to receive such hints for literature. And maybe, you have a few autographs which we could raffle to our visitors during the coming year.

It is very easy. Describe your impressions and thoughts you personally associate wth the 20th century. Which events have touched you inside, what developments and inventions have a special meaning in your eyes? How would you judge this period of time as a whole?
Write down and send us your thoughts - by email, mail or fax - how ever you like. If you add a photo we are pleased to publish it along. Certainly your thoughts are welcome, too, if you do not wish them to be published. In case you wish so, you contribution will be kept confidentially. Thank you very much for your record!

Respect! There is no money to spend, as you may see in the next item. However, the past century shall deserve a few lines from you. An era like this with all its far-reaching changes and developments may never come again. Your memories may stand the test of time and become vivid for others.

The 20th Century Research Project is solely financed by the initiator and a few helpers. This includes the work on the web pages and the sending of mail. There isn´t yet a private or public body responsible for this. Companies and institutions who have supported us with free material are named an our sponsers and linked. Not at all! Some sponsors set the condition that the site remains free from ads. For this reason we do not take part in any banner community or else.

The initiative for this research project originally came from the religious scientist and book writer Dr. Stefan Högl. His work with historical and philosophical aspects has finally led to this project which is supported by a few helping persons privately.

This research project is meant for long terms. Currently we are just starting to question important persons of our times. So continues the search for sponsors. The construction of web pages will be step by step.
